Tangerang, 12 September 2025 – Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, emphasized that the creative industry will become a new engine of national economic growth toward Indonesia Emas 2045. He conveyed this optimism during the opening of Indonesia Design Week (IDW) 2025 at Clubhouse IDD PIK 2, Tangerang, a platform fostering collaboration among hundreds of local creators.

“We believe that Indonesia’s creative economy will be the new engine of national economic growth and a vital part of the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision,” said the Minister of Creative Economy during the IDW 2025 opening.
IDW 2025, held from 12–20 September 2025, is the second edition organized by Indonesia Design District (IDD), providing a platform to showcase the creativity of designers, architects, and creative industry players. The event aims to enhance creators’ capacity and competitiveness, particularly in the subsectors of product design, architecture, and lifestyle, through innovative and collaborative activities.
“Events like Indonesia Design Week are crucial as Indonesia’s creative industry continues to grow. Support from government and private sectors through a hexahelix collaboration ensures designers and creators can collaborate, expand market access, and present impactful innovations,” said the Minister of Creative Economy.
The event features exhibitions, interactive design workshops, inspiring talkshows, product launches, and professional networking sessions for the creative community and the public.
Supporting this vision, Ipeng Widjojo, CEO of IDD, emphasized that IDW 2025 serves as a concrete platform for developing creativity and practical collaboration. “This year, Indonesia Design Week showcases how design can reflect identity, storytelling, and innovation that connects local culture to the global stage,” he said.

Through IDW 2025, creators have the opportunity to strengthen their skills, expand networks, and showcase innovative works. The event also invites the public to celebrate creativity and synergy among creators, driving Indonesia’s creative industry to higher levels.
Accompanying the Minister of Creative Economy were Deputy Minister Irene Umar, Deputy for Cultural and Design Creativity Yuke Sri Rahayu, and Subdirector of Marketing and Commercialization Linda Emilda.
