The Ministry of Social Affairs currently manages 165 Sekolah Rakyat across Indonesia, including regions in Sumatra, Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua. These schools serve as an important platform for children from disadvantaged backgrounds to access education and develop their potential.
The Sekolah Rakyat program is expected to become a solution for children who have long faced economic and educational limitations. Through these schools, they are provided opportunities to learn, grow, and pursue their aspirations.
“We believe that Sekolah Rakyat can unlock extraordinary potential in our children by equipping them with skills. These skills can later be utilized for employment or entrepreneurship,” added Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky.
