Jakarta, March 10, 2025 – The Minister of Creative Economy and Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, met with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) at the BGN Building in Jakarta on Monday, March 10, 2025. The meeting focused on a strategic collaboration within the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program to support the development of Indonesia’s creative economy.

During the meeting, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky emphasized the importance of synergy between the Ministry of Creative Economy and BGN in strengthening the creative sector. He stated that the Ministry of Creative Economy is ready to collaborate on the implementation of the MBG Program, particularly in culinary training and the development of menus using local ingredients. In addition, the Ministry will provide professional chefs to train cooks involved in the program.
“The collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy and BGN is a strategic step to accelerate the advancement of Indonesia’s creative economy,” said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.

He also reiterated the Ministry's commitment to supporting various innovative and creative initiatives, including the national animated film industry. One such example is the animated film Jumbo, which can be integrated with the MBG Program to raise public awareness about the importance of balanced nutrition.
“The Ministry of Creative Economy is ready to collaborate with BGN in implementing the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG), particularly in culinary training and developing new menus with locally sourced ingredients,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Head of the National Nutrition Agency, Dadan Hindayana, welcomed the collaboration. He believes the partnership with the Ministry of Creative Economy will open up training opportunities for cooks and support the development of locally inspired, nutritious menus, contributing to the creation of tasty and healthy meals.
“This collaboration provides an opportunity to conduct culinary training and develop new menus using local ingredients, thereby improving the skills of cooks in preparing nutritious and flavorful meals,” said Dadan Hindayana.

He also stressed the importance of partnering with the culinary creative industry to enhance both the capacity and quality of meals offered through the MBG Program. In the near future, the collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy and BGN will be realized through chef training sessions and the development of the Jumbo animated film as part of the MBG initiative. This joint effort aims to meet the public’s nutritional needs and aligns with the government's mission to improve children’s nutrition throughout Indonesia.
“In the near future, this collaboration will be implemented through culinary training and the development of the Jumbo animation, in alignment with the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program,” Dadan concluded.
