Jakarta, June 3, 2026 – A total of 25 participants of the Creative Acceleration (AKTIF) Animation Program who successfully completed the Unreal Engine Training Animation Class have signed employment contracts with Brown Bag Films Bali (PT Bali Animasi Solusi Ekakarsa).
The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency officially concluded the Creative Acceleration (AKTIF) Animation: Unreal Engine Training Animation Class program held in Denpasar, Bali, on Friday (29/5/2026).

Deputy for Media Creativity of the Ministry of Creative Economy, Cecep Rukendi, stated that the program represents a strategic initiative and a concrete government response to the growing demand for skilled professionals amid the rapid expansion of Indonesia’s animation industry.
The tactical program, which began on May 4, 2026, achieved an extraordinary milestone with a 100 percent graduation rate and 100 percent employment placement rate.
“All participants were officially recruited by Brown Bag Films Bali to support their production needs,” said Deputy Cecep.
Indonesia’s animation industry is currently experiencing remarkable growth and can no longer be overlooked.
According to the Indonesia Animation Report 2026 released by the Ministry of Creative Economy in collaboration with the Indonesian Animation Industry Association (AINAKI), the national animation sector has recorded several significant macro-growth indicators:
Market Value Growth: The value of Indonesia’s animation industry reached IDR 798.15 billion in 2025. This figure represents a sharp increase of more than 3.3 times over the past decade.
Annual Growth Rate: The sector has expanded aggressively, recording a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 12.86 percent per year.
Infrastructure and Global Penetration: Indonesia is currently home to 262 active animation studios. This healthy ecosystem has produced and distributed 308 active original animation works across various global platforms.
Deputy for Media Creativity of the Ministry of Creative Economy, Cecep Rukendi, emphasized that collaboration among the government, associations, and creative industry stakeholders reflects a shared commitment to strengthening a more competitive, adaptive, and sustainable animation ecosystem in Indonesia.
“Through this program, the Ministry of Creative Economy continues to strengthen the capacity of technology-based creative talents, while AINAKI enhances connectivity between industry, education, and human resource development to align with the needs of both the national and international animation sectors,” he said.
Chairman of the Indonesian Animation Industry Association (AINAKI), Daryl Wilson, expressed appreciation for the collaboration among the Ministry of Creative Economy, AINAKI, and Brown Bag Films Bali in implementing the AKTIF Animation Program.
“This program demonstrates that Indonesian animation talent is capable of meeting global industry standards. The success of all participants in completing the training and being recruited by Brown Bag Films Bali is tangible proof that collaboration among government, associations, and industry can produce animation professionals who are job-ready and internationally competitive,” he said.
The AKTIF Animation Program was designed to enhance the capabilities of creative human resources in the animation subsector, enabling them to adapt to the evolving technologies of global animation production. Throughout the training, participants gained hands-on experience in a professional animation studio environment through industry-relevant workflow simulations aligned with current production requirements.
The training curriculum covered the introduction of Unreal Engine animation components, professional animation pipelines, sequencer basics, animation editing, and technical animation. Participants also engaged in practical exercises involving create cycle animation development, thumbnail and storyboard creation, video references, layout and blocking, and final animation production, complemented by intensive review sessions with experienced professional trainers.

The successful implementation of the AKTIF Program is expected to serve as a blueprint for accelerating world-class talent development while expediting the digital transformation of Indonesia’s animation industry toward an era of real-time technology-based production pipelines.
