Jakarta, February 14, 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency continues to drive the growth of the creative economy through strategic collaborations with various institutions, including PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (InJourney). This partnership aims to accelerate the realization of targeted creative economy programs in line with directives from the central government.

The collaboration with InJourney, signed on December 17, 2024, marks a strategic step in developing the creative economy sector. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, emphasized that collaboration is key to addressing budget efficiency challenges.
“Many may feel disappointed due to budget efficiency measures. However, efficiency can be managed through collaboration. InJourney is one of our biggest partners, having started collaborating in December 2024. TMII is already running at full speed, the game corner at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is operational, and we will expand to seven more cities this year,” said Irene at the Workshop on the Roadmap of Indonesian Tourism Through the Creative Industry at Park Hyatt Hotel, Jakarta, on Thursday, February 14, 2025.

The partnership with InJourney includes developing relevant tourism infrastructure and utilizing marketing platforms to support creative economy activities. Some tangible implementations of this collaboration include the establishment of a game corner at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, which serves as a new attraction for travelers, as well as a reading corner and a merchandise store at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) showcasing local intellectual property (IP) creations.

According to Tasya Intan Nur Dewi, Customer Experience Group Head at InJourney, the collaboration with the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency has yielded exceptionally fast and effective results.
“This is the first time InJourney has collaborated so quickly with the Ministry of Creative Economy. In just one week, we managed to set up the game corner at Terminal 3 of Soetta Airport. Additionally, the reading corner and merchandising store at TMII are now filled with numerous local IP works. This initiative will continue to support local artists,” explained Tasya.

The Workshop on the Roadmap of Indonesian Tourism Through the Creative Industry, held on February 14, 2025, is part of the collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency and InJourney. Attended by Ministry of Creative Economy officials and InJourney members, the event aimed to formulate a roadmap for the development of Indonesia’s creative industry.
During the workshop, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene presented various ongoing and upcoming collaborative programs, particularly those aligned with the creative economy priority subsectors identified by Bappenas.

Each deputy presented their respective plans, including the Deputy for Strategic Development of the Creative Economy, the Deputy for Cultural and Design Creativity, the Deputy for Digital and Technology Creativity, and the Deputy for Media Creativity.
InJourney, as a collaborative partner, highly appreciates the swift efforts made by the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency. According to Tasya, the Ministry of Creative Economy easy-going approach and innovative ideas have fostered a comfortable and productive partnership.
