“We view Bintang Sempurna not merely as a printing company, but as a strategic partner in building a solid creative ecosystem. Collaborations like this are important to bring together industry players, local IP owners, and artists to produce creative works with global competitiveness,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, during her visit to the headquarters of PT Bintang Sempurna in Jakarta, Tuesday, 22 July 2025.
“When creative potential is supported by strong infrastructure, the sector will evolve into the new engine of growth for the national economy,” she added. During the visit, the Deputy Minister and her delegation observed the workflow of PT Bintang Sempurna, a digital printing solutions provider that has operated for more than three decades and earned international recognition. Its high-tech facilities and integrated service approach make the company one of the most comprehensive printing centers in Indonesia.
Director for Publishing and Photography of the Ministry of Creative Economy, Iman Santosa, appreciated Bintang Sempurna’s capacity in supporting creative processes, particularly in the visual sector. “Bintang Sempurna is not only a one-stop solution for research and printing, but it could also serve as a kind of ‘printing museum’ that inspires creatives. The printing quality is comparable to international products, and it has the potential to be the best in the world,” he remarked.

CEO of Bintang Sempurna, Laurensius Candra, welcomed the dialogue and expressed his company’s openness to closer collaboration with the Ministry of Creative Economy, particularly in bridging the needs of creative talents for high-quality printing services.
“In the past, the government sector has often been perceived as rigid by private players. However, today’s visit proves otherwise—the Ministry of Creative Economy is very open and reachable. We hope that future collaborations will encourage local IP owners to create extraordinary works—unorthodox creative products of world-class quality,” Laurensius explained.

The company’s key strength lies in its high-quality printing and advanced finishing technology that allows for precise visual customization. With this, the company plays a pivotal role in the national creative supply chain.

This dialogue also launched a joint initiative between the Ministry of Creative Economy and Bintang Sempurna titled “Synergy of Photography and Printing for Indonesia’s Creative Economy”, which aims to foster cross-sector collaborative networks—connecting photographers, designers, local IP owners, and the printing industry—as a distribution hub for creative works. Such initiatives reflect a new direction in the development of the national creative industry: increasingly integrated, focused on downstreaming, and committed to supporting young talents through a globally competitive creative infrastructure.
