Tangerang, 25 April, 2026 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency collaborated with SMA Islam Al Azhar BSD to bring the creative industry closer to schools through the activation of the ECHOES program at ALSEACE 2026. Through this collaboration, the government positions educational institutions as strategic platforms to introduce the 17 subsectors of the creative economy and to build connections between schools and the national creative ecosystem.
The Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, activated the Creative Economy Creates Harmony on Education Sectors (ECHOES) program at the annual ALSEACE 2026 Festival organized by SMA Al-Azhar BSD at Summarecon Mall Serpong, Tangerang, on Saturday (25/4/2026).
ECHOES, or Creative Economy Creates Harmony on Education Sectors, is a program by the Ministry of Creative Economy aimed at bringing the creative industry closer to schools through collaboration with events such as ALSEACE. The annual ALSEACE Festival, or Al-Azhar Sports, Education, Art, Culture, and Entertainment, combines sports competitions, arts, and social initiatives, making it a strategic platform for developing talent and the creative ecosystem of Indonesia’s youth.
“Our presence at ALSEACE 2026 is a concrete effort to ensure that access to the creative world begins at the school level as a place where ideas and works are born. Through this event, the synergy established is expected to inspire the growth of the creative economy ecosystem across various educational environments in Indonesia,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar during the ECHOES activation at ALSEACE 2026 held at Uptown Park, Summarecon Mall Serpong, on Saturday (25/4).

In addition, the Deputy Minister conducted visits to five selected MSME booths in the festival area to interact with young creative entrepreneurs at the event, which has been held regularly since 2003. This interaction aimed to provide motivation and to directly observe how local creative products can be integrated into large-scale events managed by students.
This year, ALSEACE carried the theme “Urban Farming Movement,” successfully integrating creativity and MSMEs while attracting participation from 207 schools. Through strong collaboration among students, teachers, and parents, along with support from Yayasan Muslim BSD, the event demonstrated that the synergy between character education and the creative economy is key to nurturing outstanding talent toward Indonesia Emas.
The event encourages the younger generation to create globally valuable digital assets without having to wait until graduation, while also challenging future creators to bring local works and musicians onto the global stage as a driving force of the national economy.

“The creativity of young people through ALSEACE demonstrates the immense potential of local talent from an early stage. Therefore, do not limit your perspective to the national market—set your sights on the international market. Never be afraid to seize opportunities and become the creator of your own path in building the future creative economy ecosystem,” said the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy.
Meanwhile, the Principal of SMA Islam Al Azhar BSD, Moch. Mukrim, expressed appreciation for the Ministry of Creative Economy’s initiative in designating the school as a pioneer of the ECHOES program. He noted that this synergy provides professional direction for student creativity managed through ALSEACE.
“The presence of the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy is a source of pride and an affirmation that student festivals such as ALSEACE serve as real incubators for young talent. We hope that SMA Islam Al Azhar BSD, through the ECHOES program, will continue to consistently foster creativity that becomes a valuable asset for students entering the future creative industry,” said Moch. Mukrim.
