Jakarta, 22 April, 2026 – The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, emphasized the importance of collaboration with B57+ (Business 57 Plus) to help creative economy players penetrate global markets through strengthened intellectual property and cross-sector partnerships. The Minister highlighted B57+ as a forum aligned with the Ministry’s commitment to advancing the creative economy.
Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya attended the Halal Bihalal event of the B57+ Asia Pacific Chapter at Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta, on Wednesday (April 22, 2026).
“In the future, we aim to collaborate with B57+ Indonesia, starting from access to financing, market access facilitation, and capacity-building for talent development. We hope this collaboration will support Indonesian brands in going global,” said the Minister.
The B57+ forum is a collaborative initiative under the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD), focusing on strengthening networks among business players and stakeholders from member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), particularly in trade, investment, and halal-based economic development. The Minister added that strengthening local heroes, local brands, and regional intellectual property is key to fostering national champions capable of competing globally.
At the same event, Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar stated that the Halal Bihalal gathering carries broader significance beyond a post-Eid tradition, serving as a platform to reinforce economic solidarity among Muslim communities in a global context.
“Indonesia remains among the world’s top three and may soon rise to the top position. This demonstrates that the spiritual values we uphold positively correlate with our economic credibility. According to 2026 projections, the global halal economy is expected to exceed USD 3 trillion. We can no longer view the halal economy solely from a religious perspective—it is a massive industry. Hopefully, this will position Indonesia as a key player in the sharia economy across the Asia-Pacific and globally,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Chairman of B57+ Asia Pacific Chapter, Arsjad Rasjid, stressed the importance of collaboration amid increasingly complex global dynamics, particularly in leveraging the growing potential of the halal economy.
“B57+ has a simple yet ambitious mission: to translate collective strength into shared prosperity. This is achieved through trade, investment, and tangible business connectivity. Through B57+, Indonesia plays a role as a bridge of leadership in halal economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region,” he stated.
