Yogyakarta, May 27, 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy, through the Directorate of Music under the Deputy for Media Creativity, organized the Music Creative Acceleration program in Yogyakarta. Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya stated that this initiative is part of the government’s efforts to promote the music industry as an integral component of the creative economy sector, which contributes significantly to the national economy.
Ministry of Creative Economy supports inclusive local music talents, including visually impaired musicians, through the Creative Music Acceleration program in Yogyakarta, on Tuesday (May 27, 2025).
“We hope that this collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy and the Mabes Balker Community will serve as an instrument to develop musical and performing arts talents in Yogyakarta,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
As a concrete form of government support, a music video production is being carried out over five days, from May 26 to 30, 2025, with shooting locations at Mabes Balker Studio in Bantul Regency, Gudeg Sagan, Tugu Yogyakarta, and several other locations across Yogyakarta. The music video will feature the song Tak Kancani, a pop-dut piece with a koplo twist, telling stories of life’s challenges in households, workplaces, and trials from God.
Minister Teuku Riefky emphasized that music is a strategic subsector of the creative economy. “Music can even be regarded as the soul of Indonesia’s creative economy. Therefore, music has the potential to become a key driver of the creative economy as the new engine of national economic growth, starting from local communities,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky.

Echoing this view, Deputy for Media Creativity, Agustini Rahayu expressed hope that this initiative will stimulate the local economy while also fostering inclusivity. For this music video project, she highlighted that the selected talent is a blind singer.
“This Music Acceleration Program is our effort to enhance the creative potential of local communities, improve the quality of musical works in Indonesia, and create quality jobs,” said Deputy Agustini.
“Embracing the spirit of inclusivity, this program features a talented singer with disabilities, Fauzi Haidi, who has been visually impaired since birth,” she added.
