Jakarta, February 5, 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency reaffirmed its commitment to supporting associations in the creative economy sector. Audience sessions, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and solution-oriented discussions continue to be prioritized.
On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency Irene Umar welcomed the Indonesian Association of Photo and Video Creators (AKFID) at Menara Merdeka. She was accompanied by the Ministry of Creative Economy Director of Digital Content, Yuana Rochma Astuti, and Director of Publishing and Photography, Iman Santosa. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene welcomed AKFID’s participation in jointly advancing the creative industry in Indonesia.
"This meeting aims to understand the developments in content creation, photography, and videography. We will identify existing challenges and work together to find solutions," said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene.

She emphasized that the Ministry of Creative Economy coordinates with other ministries to drive progress in Indonesia’s creative industry. One such initiative is providing funding facilities for creative industry professionals in the country.
During the same occasion, AKFID Chairman Rizki Trestianto expressed his appreciation for the meeting with the Ministry of Creative Economy. He hopes this discussion will lead to collaborations that contribute to the development of the creative economy.

"Alhamdulillah, we had the opportunity to meet and communicate directly with the Deputy Minister and her team. We hope that this meeting will open up collaboration with the Ministry of Creative Economy, especially in developing human resources in the fields of content creation, photography, and videography, ensuring greater equality in skill levels across the industry," said Rizki, who is commonly known as Riki.
Riki mentioned that AKFID currently has executive boards in 17 provinces, including South Sumatra, West Sumatra, Bengkulu, Jambi, Batam, Bangka Belitung, Lampung, Banten, Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, South Sulawesi, Gorontalo, and Papua. He also outlined several programs that AKFID is currently developing.

He explained that AKFID organizes various training and certification programs to enhance human resources in photography, videography, and content creation. Additionally, AKFID aims to foster synergy and collaboration between the government, corporations, industries, and communities to improve human resource quality.
AKFID is also working to expand its information technology network within the creative industry at both national and international levels. Furthermore, the organization is actively implementing national competency standards for photography, videography, and content creation through certification programs.
