Jakarta, June 3, 2026 – Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, expressed her appreciation for the parenting application Tentang Anak. According to the Deputy Minister, the development of this intellectual property should be complemented by a sustainable business strategy and collaboration opportunities with national and global creative economy players.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, received an audience with representatives of the parenting application Tentang Anak at the Ministry of Creative Economy office, Jakarta, Wednesday (3/6/2026).
“We are ready to help Tentang Anak collaborate with universities or provide internship opportunities, as collaboration is essential to enhance the value of an animation by expanding it into broader ecosystems and platforms,” said the Deputy Minister during a meeting with representatives of the Tentang Anak application at the Ministry of Creative Economy office in Jakarta on Wednesday (3/6).
The application is regarded as one of the digital innovations in the edutainment sector that has successfully built a science-based educational ecosystem to support the growth and development of Indonesian children. She added that the Ministry of Creative Economy is prepared to facilitate collaboration opportunities between Tentang Anak and animators, creators, and other stakeholders to strengthen content quality while expanding market reach.
Tentang Anak was developed by a multidisciplinary team consisting of pediatricians, child psychologists, and various other experts. In addition to providing free child development screening services and direct consultations with specialists, the platform also offers a variety of creative products, ranging from books, educational games, and music videos to children’s health products and animation content.

The animation series launched in November 2025 introduces four main characters—Swara, Gema, Nada, and Aluna—as entertaining and educational learning media for Indonesian children. One of the works developed by Tentang Anak is the animation series Sahabat Anak Nyanyi Gembira (SANG). The series was designed in collaboration with psychologists and pediatricians to instill the values of the 4Cs: Courageous, Curious, Caring, and Confident.
Director and Founder of Tentang Anak, Mesty Ariotedjo, stated that the meeting provided valuable insights regarding intellectual property development and more sustainable business models. Mesty explained that Tentang Anak was initially established with a social mission to support the growth and development of Indonesian children, which has since evolved into a broader creative ecosystem.
“The SANG animation series was created to provide education and entertainment that align with children’s developmental stages. Our hope is that it will continue to grow, gain wider international recognition, and inspire children in Indonesia and around the world to grow up healthy,” she explained.
