Jakarta, 22 January 2026 — The Minister of Creative Economy / Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, absorbed aspirations from music industry stakeholders regarding the strengthening of the national music ecosystem. The Minister emphasized the role of the ministry in providing policy support, budgetary backing, and the presence of the state amid ongoing industry challenges.
The Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, received an audience with Bersama Entertainment and musician as well as songwriter Sandy Canester at the Office of the Ministry of Creative Economy, Jakarta, Thursday (22/1/2026).
“The presence of the state and supportive policies are among the key contributions we can provide amid current challenges. We are ready to support the future development of the music ecosystem,” said Minister Teuku Riefky while receiving the audience with Bersama Entertainment and musician and songwriter Sandy Canester at the Ministry of Creative Economy Office, Jakarta, on Thursday, 22 January 2026.
Sandy Canester conveyed that stability within the music industry remains a challenge that must be addressed on a sustained basis. As one of the seven priority subsectors of the creative economy, music is considered to require stronger governance in order to continue growing and delivering optimal economic contributions.
“What we are doing here is exploring how to optimize the components of music that are indeed a strength for Indonesia in general. So the discussion today went deeper into those aspects,” said Sandy.

The audience was also attended by Aka Zakaria, Commissioner of Bersama Entertainment; Aldi Novianto, President Director of Bersama Entertainment; music industry practitioner Cipta Panca Laksana; and Monica Wijaya, Director of Bersama Entertainment. The discussion proceeded constructively, focusing on opportunities for collaboration across stakeholders.
Minister Teuku Riefky welcomed the various inputs as part of the policy formulation process based on the actual needs of industry players. The Ministry of Creative Economy committed to following up on these aspirations through cross-unit coordination and synergy with strategic partners.
During the meeting, Minister Teuku Riefky was accompanied by Mohammad Amin, Director of Music at the Ministry of Creative Economy. The Ministry reaffirmed its openness to continuous dialogue to ensure that resulting policies strengthen the competitiveness of the music subsector while expanding the national creative economy’s overall economic impact.
