Jakarta, 4 November 2025 — The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency will open a special acceleration and mentoring program to protect Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and expand market access for young entrepreneurs from the student community through the Indonesian Hindu Dharma Student Union (KMHDI). This initiative marks a strategic step to shape a globally competitive generation of young creative talents.
Wakil Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Irene Umar, menerima audiensi dari Kesatuan Mahasiswa Hindu Dharma Indonesia (KMHDI), Jakarta, Selasa (4/11/2025).
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting young people in developing creative enterprises rooted in local wisdom, while reinforcing cross-institution collaboration. The Deputy Minister stressed that strengthening youth capacity is essential for accelerating the growth of Indonesia’s creative economy.
“This spirit is not only for university students but for all young people in Indonesia. KMHDI’s strength lies in its entrepreneurial drive and its deep-rooted value system, such as meditation. Make meditation a habit in every activity—this is the distinguishing strength your student cadres have,” said the Deputy Minister.
She added that developing creative enterprises requires a creative mentality accompanied by proper financial planning.
“From there, we can see how sustainable a business can be. The Ministry of Creative Economy will continue strengthening creative, measurable, and impactful mindsets as part of our effort to position the creative economy as Indonesia’s new engine of growth. We will maximize existing potential, including through the Village Tourism and Creative Village programs,” she continued.

The audience session also became an opportunity for KMHDI to present key challenges faced by student-led enterprises, including urgent needs related to IPR protection and product certification (PIRT/BPOM) for culinary subsectors, limited market access, and insufficient managerial capacity in branding, digital marketing, and professional financial management.
As a follow-up, KMHDI proposed strategic collaboration with the Ministry through an acceleration (fast-track) program for student MSMEs to join creative incubation initiatives, marketing facilitation through national events, proactive mentoring via the IPR Clinic and product legality assistance, as well as strengthening networks and mentorship with industry experts, investors, and potential buyers.
“We see tremendous potential among KMHDI student cadres who could grow much faster with ministerial support, especially in managerial skills, product legality, and expanded marketing networks,” said Siamwahyuni, representative of the Creative Economy Human Resources Development Center.
KMHDI Chairperson I Wayan Darmawan affirmed that KMHDI’s student cadres possess strong potential and are ready to contribute to the creative economy, requiring only the right guidance from the Ministry.

As a student organization, KMHDI is ready to be a driving force for local wisdom–based creative entrepreneurship across Indonesia,” said Darmawan.
The Ministry of Creative Economy will follow up on the results of this audience session with concrete programs tailored to the needs of young entrepreneurs, ensuring that support can reach more creative practitioners across various regions.
