Kementerian Ekonomi Kreatif menyelanggatakan SCENE 2025 Alumni Bootcamp, Masterclass Pengembangan Audiovisual Naskah Serial yang berlangsung selama sepekan, 3–9 November 2025, di Morrissey Hotel, Jakarta, Sabtu (9/11/2026).
Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, emphasized that strengthening the screen sector is a long-term strategy for building Indonesia’s creative economy competitiveness.
“We want to ensure that the film, television, and digital media industries become strong pillars of our national economy. Through programs like SCENE, we are not only training talent but also building bridges between creative work and global markets. In the creative economy era, story is power—and Indonesia has countless stories to offer the world,” said the Minister.
Organized by the Directorate of Television and Radio under the Deputy for Media Creativity, the program—titled Audiovisual Scripted Series Development Masterclass—was held from 3–9 November 2025 at Morrissey Hotel, Jakarta. Beyond strengthening Indonesia’s storytelling ecosystem, the program aims to prepare participants to deliver content ready for global Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms.

The program was officially opened on Monday, 3 November by the Director of Television and Radio, Pupung Thariq Fadhillah. In his remarks, he underscored the importance of the screen subsector as a new engine of Indonesia’s creative economy.
“The screen industry—encompassing film, animation, video, and television—is projected to grow rapidly, generating an output of USD 9.8 billion and creating more than 616,000 jobs by 2027. Our challenge is to cultivate new growth from the TV and radio subsector through premium original series content driven by high-quality talent,” Pupung noted.
SCENE 2025 is a collaborative initiative between the Ministry of Creative Economy and Wahana Edukasi. It is designed as an intensive masterclass for six outstanding alumni screenwriters from the SCENE 2020–2024 program. Participants were selected based on script quality and their readiness to enter both national and international creative industry markets.

The six selected screenwriters are:
• Amelya Juwitasari (East Java)
• I Kadek Prawira Nugraha (Bali)
• Danan Wahyu Sumirat (Riau Islands)
• Dhanny Wijaya Setiawan (Jambi)
• Rinipta Swasti Simson (West Java)
• R. Deddy Hermawan (West Java)
They were mentored directly by senior industry practitioners through a comprehensive training curriculum encompassing three core pillars: deep writing, audiovisual production, and business strengthening. Participants learned cinematic storytelling techniques, action and dialogue patterns, and writing with visual awareness; explored production elements such as visual editing, sound design, and sizzle reel planning; and developed negotiation and modern pitching skills to position their scripts as intellectual property (IP)-driven creative assets.
The bootcamp’s key deliverables include a cinematic lock script and a professional sizzle reel used for pitching to producers, OTT platforms, and investors. The participants’ works will be facilitated to enter the Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (JAFF) Market in Yogyakarta as a concrete step toward elevating Indonesian original scripts onto the international stage.

The Ministry remains committed to strengthening the hexahelix ecosystem by engaging government, industry, academia, communities, media, and investors in developing the creative economy subsectors. This effort aligns with the broader vision of Indonesia Emas 2045, where the creative economy is projected to become a key driver of inclusive and sustainable growth.
