Jakarta, June 22, 2026 – Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), Irene Umar, received an audience with Indonesian climate-tech company Jejakin at the Ministry of Creative Economy office in Jakarta on Monday (June 22). The meeting was part of the Ministry’s efforts to foster a sustainable creative economy ecosystem through the implementation of sustainability and green economy principles.

The Deputy Minister stated that sustainability has become an increasingly important aspect of future creative economy development. The use of technology to monitor emissions and environmental impacts is considered a valuable tool in creating a productive business ecosystem while maintaining environmental responsibility.
“Jejakin’s platform focuses on sustainability, which is an integral part of the green economy. Several programs developed by Jejakin are highly useful in monitoring emission-related activities. These innovations contribute to advancing sustainability and supporting the development of a green economy,” said Irene Umar.
Jejakin is an Indonesia-based technology company specializing in climate solutions. The company provides various digital platforms and tools to measure, monitor, and manage carbon footprints and environmental impacts more effectively. Such innovations are expected to help creative economy actors adopt more environmentally responsible business practices.

Jejakin’s Head of Business Development, Bogar Baskoro, explained that the platform is capable of calculating emissions based on specific baselines and connecting users with a range of reforestation and environmental programs across Indonesia. Jejakin also collaborates with partners from Sabang to Merauke to maximize positive impacts on both the environment and local economies.
“Over the past few years, we have been extensively involved in the sustainability sector. We have observed that many sustainability initiatives are closely linked to events and campaign programs, creating opportunities to generate broader environmental and social impact,” said Bogar.
The audience was also attended by Jejakin Chief Growth Officer Sudono Salim and Government Relations Officer Junio Anada. The Deputy Minister was accompanied by Agus Syarip Hidayat, Director of Strategic Studies and Management at the Ministry of Creative Economy.
