Jakarta, 22 January 2026 — The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, continues to refine the development of the Free Health Check Program (Cek Kesehatan Gratis / CKG) as part of efforts to strengthen national health services. The Ministry of Creative Economy encourages the involvement of creative economy subsectors to enhance public outreach and health literacy.
The Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, held a coordination meeting with the Deputy Minister of Health, Dante Saksono Harbuwono, at the Ministry of Health Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (20/1/2025).
The discussion took place during a coordination meeting at the Ministry of Health Building, Jakarta, attended by Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar and Deputy Minister of Health Dante Saksono Harbuwono. The meeting served as a follow-up to the initial implementation of the collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy and the Ministry of Health under the CKG program, which was previously conducted at Agora Mall, Jakarta, from 1–3 December 2025.
“Through CKG, we want to demonstrate that with just a national ID card, health services can be accessed for free in a meaningful way,” said Deputy Minister Irene during the coordination meeting held on Tuesday, 20 January 2026.
The Deputy Minister of Creative Economy emphasized that going forward, CKG should not only function as a basic health service, but also as an inclusive, well-organized, and impactful public experience. She further noted that although CKG is open to all members of the public, the program is particularly relevant for many creative economy practitioners who have not yet had adequate access to health services.

In addition, the Ministry of Creative Economy encourages improvements in service flow, reception standards, and the overall participant experience during waiting times to make the program more efficient and comfortable. The Ministry also promotes the involvement of MSMEs in providing merchandise, as well as strengthening communication through visual materials, educational games, and mascots derived from local Intellectual Property (IP) to support health outreach and literacy efforts.
In terms of venues, the Ministry of Creative Economy will coordinate the use of strategic public spaces, such as shopping centers, as locations for CKG implementation. Universities and community groups will also be engaged as channels for outreach and participant registration. Program promotion will be supported through media networks, including radio stations and community-based platforms.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Health Dante Saksono Harbuwono explained that the implementation mechanism of CKG is coordinated through regional health offices, with community health centers (puskesmas) serving as the frontline of service delivery. He added that collaboration with the Ministry of Creative Economy also functions as a public health campaign to reach broader segments of society.

“Going forward, strengthening community health centers on a territorial basis will enable the expansion of CKG coverage across various societal ecosystems, including communities and home-based industries. Collaboration with the creative economy sector will also be leveraged to support behavior change campaigns, ensuring that this service not only delivers medical care, but also enhances public health literacy in an engaging and innovative manner,” said Deputy Minister Dante.
Both ministries agreed to position the development of CKG as a model for cross-sector collaboration that integrates health services with creativity. Through this collaboration, CKG is expected not only to improve access to health services, but also to strengthen the role of the creative economy as the new engine of growth, in support of the President’s Asta Cita, particularly in building healthy, productive, and competitive human resources.
