Jakarta, February 7, 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting local intellectual property (IP) in the animation industry. This support is directed toward the animated film Jumbo, produced by Visinema, as discussed during a meeting at the Pesona Indonesia Film Building, Jakarta, on Friday, February 7, 2025.
Scheduled for release in cinemas across Indonesia during Lebaran 2025, Jumbo has captured the attention of the Minister of Creative Economy/Head of Creative Economy Agency Teuku Riefky Harsya and Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of Creative Economy Agency Irene Umar. As a tangible form of support, Teuku Riefky, Irene Umar, and Deputy for Media Creativity Agustini Rahayu held an audience with the Visinema team at the Pesona Indonesia Film Building, Jakarta. During the meeting, Riefky emphasized that supporting Jumbo is part of the government's ongoing agenda to strengthen the local IP ecosystem.

"We are interested in supporting Jumbo as a local IP with great potential for development and collaboration," said Riefky.
Meanwhile, Irene Umar sees Jumbo as having significant potential to collaborate with various creative economy subsectors, not only adding value but also strengthening the presence of local animated characters that can compete with international productions.

"The creative economy sector is ready to support and collaborate to make Jumbo a well-recognized, high-quality local IP that Indonesian children can take pride in," said Irene.
Support from the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency has further boosted Visinema’s optimism in creating creative and innovative works, both in animation and live-action formats.
