Jakarta, October 15, 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy supports Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) which accelerates the export of a sustainable creative economy. Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya hopes that TEI will also enhance competitiveness, connect businesses globally, and promote Indonesian exports.

Doc. Bureau of Communications, Ministry of Creative Economy – Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, visited one of the booths at the 40th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) at the International Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang, on Wednesday (October 15, 2025).

"The Ministry of Creative Economy affirms exports acceleration through TEI 2025 as a form of synergy between ministries in positioning the creative economy as the new engine of national economic growth," said Minister Teuku Riefky on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Held at the International Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang, TEI 2025 is the 40th edition, serving as concrete proof of the sustainability of the largest trade exhibition in Indonesia. Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky believes that this event, which focuses on the export community and brings together potential international buyers with the full support of the government and the private sector, will boost investment and expand exports, especially for leading creative economy sub-sectors.

The Ministry of Creative Economy  is among the key collaborators, activating four creative and innovative booths, including 3 ASIK program activation booths for the culinary sub-sector (21 local brands), the fashion sub-sector (17 local brands), and the craft sub-sector (15 local brands). Additionally, one booth under the Directorate of New Digital Technology, features exhibitions and technology demos from Indonesia’s leading startups in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented & Virtual Reality (AR/VR), Blockchain & Web3, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

"I am truly proud to visit each activation under the Ministry of Creative Economy, where every creative subsector demonstrates its commitment to promoting its products and services. This reflects our capacity-building efforts aimed at generating export value while accelerating creative economy downstreaming through various creations and innovations," said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky.

Meanwhile, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, as the host, highlighted the growth of Indonesia's exports, which contributes to increasing investment appeal and national economic growth. Budi Santoso also emphasized that the trade transaction target for the 40th TEI must reach IDR 16.5 billion.

"TEI is one of the tangible manifestations of strategic and collaborative programs that support downstreaming and industrialization to increase exports, expand international markets, and strengthen Indonesia's opportunities in the global supply chain. We can report that for the period of January-August 2025, the value of Indonesia's exports increased by 7.72 percent or equivalent to US$ 185.12 billion," said Budi Santoso while giving his speech at TEI 2025.

This year, TEI features three main sectors or zones, including the first zone for food, beverage, and agricultural products (16 categories); the second zone for manufacturing products and services (20 categories); and the third zone for fashion, home decor, and lifestyle (23 categories).
