Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Teuku Riefky Harsya, mempersentasikan keterbukaan informasi publik pada Uji Publik Komisi Informasi Pusat (KIP) di Hotel Grand Mercure, Jakarta, Selasa (18/11/2025).
“We will present the Ministry of Creative Economy policies and strategies to fulfill the public’s right to access information as part of transparent, accountable, and inclusive governance,” said Minister of Creative Economy/Head of Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, on Tuesday, 18 November 2025.
Minister Teuku Riefky emphasized that the Ministry of Creative Economy participation reflects its commitment to delivering transparent and inclusive public services. As the first ministry in Indonesia’s 80-year history dedicated to overseeing the national creative industry, the Ministry of Creative Economy has recorded significant achievements in its first year.
Through a hexahelix approach, the Ministry of Creative Economy reported that creative economy investment in the first semester of 2025 reached 66 percent of the target, equivalent to 9 percent of total national investment. Export performance reached approximately 50 percent of the target, or 9.5 percent of total national exports, while employment absorption exceeded projections by 107 percent, adding two million workers above expectations. Contribution to the national GDP reached 104 percent of the target, equivalent to 7 percent.

“These achievements form a foundation not only for strengthening public information governance but also for demonstrating transparency in information access. The Ministry of Creative Economy is committed to building a credible and easily accessible information system,” Minister Teuku Riefky explained.
“Considering the data, local government enthusiasm, and public response to the creative economy sector, we are committed to implementing information governance that is transparent, accountable, and inclusive through regulations, official decrees, and service standards as part of strengthening Information and Documentation Management Officers (PPID),” he added.
To ensure the quality of published information, the Ministry of Creative Economy strives to maintain data that is verified, up-to-date, factual, accessible to vulnerable groups, and disseminated through official channels. Adapting to technological developments, the ministry has introduced innovations in public services, including AI chatbot EMIKA, virtual and sign language video services, accessibility features on the PPID portal for information requests and complaints, braille in service notices, sign language training for officers, and facilities accommodating vulnerable groups.

Secretary of the Ministry/Chief Dessy Ruhati stated that public information disclosure policies refer to Law No. 14 of 2008 and Information Commission Regulation No. 1 of 2021, aligned with Ekraf’s functions covering policy, programs, facilitation, data, supervision, and public services. Mandatory regularly disclosed information includes institutional profiles, planning documents (Renstra, Renja, RKT, RKB), Key Performance Indicators (IKU, IKSP, IKSK), budget data, and public service information.
“For the List of Excluded Information (DIK), classification is based on consequence testing and KIP Law provisions, including personal data, draft policy documents, contracts containing trade secrets, and information related to law enforcement and system security. We ensure that all public information that can be disclosed is available via the Ministry of Creative Economy official website and application. Additionally, we provide free facilitation of intellectual property registrations, reaching nearly 1,000 certificates annually,” she explained.

KIP Chair Donny Yoesgiantoro appreciated Minister Riefky’s presence at the forum, noting that it reflects consistency and commitment to public information disclosure.
“We emphasize a few key points: we see consistency, and we expect the presence of leadership elements because public information disclosure is a matter of commitment, and that commitment is visible from the leadership of public institutions,” he said.
