Jakarta, 23 July 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency launched the song “Hitam,” a metalcore music collaboration between Killa The Pia and the traditional music community Rapai Pasee Raja Buwah, as part of efforts to strengthen regional creative talent. This work is the outcome of the AKTIF Music Creative Acceleration Program, which targets local talent from Aceh, and was officially released on National Children’s Day, 23 July 2025.

“This work aligns with the vision of the Ministry of Creative Economy to position the creative economy as the new engine of growth, starting from Aceh,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya.

The program is developed by the Directorate of Music under the Deputy for Media Creativity, with Aceh included among the 15 priority regions for creative economy development. The Minister of Creative Economy assessed that this program is aimed at driving economic transformation.

The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency also reaffirmed its commitment to child protection and youth empowerment in commemoration of National Children’s Day on 23 July 2025. The song and music video “Hitam” were officially released across all digital streaming platforms as a form of promotional and distribution support for music works by creative talents.

“Through collaborative works by musicians and communities, Aceh is presented not merely as a region, but as a vibrant space for creative production. The song and music video resulting from this metalcore and Rapa’i Pase collaboration serve as a symbol of an anti-violence voice against minorities, particularly children,” stated the Minister of Creative Economy.

AKTIF Music is an advocacy program designed for tier 3 to tier 4 local talents to promote the creative economy as an inclusive, competitive, and sustainable new engine of growth. The program empowers talents within the music subsector to become more competitive.

“This Creative Music Acceleration program does not only facilitate music video production, but also ensures compliance with intellectual property aspects and encourages the growth of social creative entrepreneurs within music communities to lead and generate both economic and social impact,” said Deputy for Media Creativity Agustini Rahayu.

Beyond being a musical work, the “Hitam” music video voices resistance against life’s pressures, particularly violence against children. With the intensity of heavy music combined with traditional Acehnese rhythms, “Hitam” not only expresses anger and sorrow, but also conveys hope for recovery and growth. Through this work, Killa The Pia invites the public to listen to children’s voices and ensure their right to grow in a safe environment filled with opportunity and happiness, as no child in the world deserves to live in fear.

“We appreciate the Ministry of Creative Economy for the facilitation provided in producing the song and music video ‘Hitam.’ This proves the importance of the state’s presence in supporting communities that are often considered minorities, including the metal music community,” said Rizki Rahmadhani Zulkifli (Madon), vocalist of Killa The Pia.

Coinciding with National Children’s Day on 23 July 2025, the “Hitam” music video is scheduled for release on the Killathephia Official YouTube channel.
