Beyond being a musical work, the “Hitam” music video voices resistance against life’s pressures, particularly violence against children. With the intensity of heavy music combined with traditional Acehnese rhythms, “Hitam” not only expresses anger and sorrow, but also conveys hope for recovery and growth. Through this work, Killa The Pia invites the public to listen to children’s voices and ensure their right to grow in a safe environment filled with opportunity and happiness, as no child in the world deserves to live in fear.
“We appreciate the Ministry of Creative Economy for the facilitation provided in producing the song and music video ‘Hitam.’ This proves the importance of the state’s presence in supporting communities that are often considered minorities, including the metal music community,” said Rizki Rahmadhani Zulkifli (Madon), vocalist of Killa The Pia.
Coinciding with National Children’s Day on 23 July 2025, the “Hitam” music video is scheduled for release on the Killathephia Official YouTube channel.
