“FHI 2025 is not only a showcase of the latest products and technologies but also a strategic forum to promote sustainable practices throughout the entire food, beverage, and hospitality supply chain,” said Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky, in his opening remarks at FHI 2025, held at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

FHI 2025, held in collaboration with Hotelex Indonesia, Finefood Indonesia, and Retail Indonesia, marks its 19th edition and celebrates its 30-year presence in Indonesia. The leading international trade exhibition focusing on the food, beverage, and hospitality industry runs from July 22–25, 2025, featuring more than 700 participants from 35 countries and regions, and is expected to attract 35,000 visitors from both domestic and international markets.

The Ministry of Creative Economy joined as a supporting partner of this event as part of its commitment to advancing the culinary and hospitality industries to establish the creative economy as the new engine of growth. According to Minister Teuku Riefky, the food and beverage industry contributed around 38 percent of the creative economy’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2024, with more than 11,000 business players and an estimated 7.6 million job opportunities projected in the next five years if this growth continues.Dok. “Furthermore, Indonesia’s creative economy value added has grown by 119 percent, export value increased by 67%, and total employment has reached 26.5 million people in 2024. This demonstrates inclusive and sustainable growth,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky.

The Ministry of Creative Economy also presented two creative economy culinary subsector players: Rendang Restu Mande, which offers ready-to-eat packaged rendang, and Imago Raw Honey, which produces pure honey. Their participation represents the strengthening role of local culinary micro, small, and medium enterprises in the global market.

“The culinary sector not only drives domestic demand but also dominates Indonesia’s creative exports, making it one of the most competitive and scalable subsectors. Through affirmative policies, digital transformation, business facilitation, and intellectual property protection, our ministry remains committed to building an inclusive and competitive ecosystem,” added Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky.Dok.
