Jakarta, 21 October 2025 – Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya expressed his appreciation for the Friends of Creative Economy (FCE) Meeting 2025, which has contributed as an international forum to identify strategic issues and support the development of global creative economy policies. The Minister stated that FCE Meeting 2025 is part of the National Creative Economy Day (Hekrafnas) celebrations on 24 October 2025, as well as a key input for formulating the global creative economy agenda at the 5th World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) in 2026.
Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Teuku Riefky Harsya, memberikan keterangan kepada media dalam sesi doorstop usai Opening Session friends of Creative Economy Meeting (FCE) 2025 di Ballroom Thamrin Nine, Jakarta, Selasa (21/10/2025).
“In preparing the agenda for the 5th WCCE next year, collaboration is essential. Amid global economic uncertainty and trade wars, all parties must cultivate the spirit of ‘inclusive creativity’. This WCCE principle serves as the foundation to ensure that no one is left behind, so that FCE Meeting 2025 can generate a more positive impact on the development of the global creative economy,” said Minister Teuku Riefky while opening the FCE Meeting 2025 at the Thamrin Nine Ballroom, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 21 October 2025.
The FCE Meeting 2025 agenda represents a follow-up to collaborative efforts supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta. The forum was attended by 434 registered participants in a hybrid format, including representatives from 51 countries. The Minister expressed hope that FCE Meeting 2025 would serve as a platform to connect stakeholders and explore global policy opportunities aligned with the dynamic future of the creative economy.

“We have gathered at FCE Meeting 2025 to listen to and reflect on valuable insights and contributions that will shape the future path of the creative economy. Through the theme ‘Glocalisation of Creative Economy: Policies, Practices, Partnerships’, the creative economy can take center stage by exploring how international policies can align with local practices and wisdom, and how local creative landscapes can help shape global standards,” the Minister added.
Earlier, Deputy for Strategic Development of the Creative Economy Cecep Rukendi also delivered a report on FCE Meeting 2025, expressing hope that the forum would foster productive and meaningful discussions so that the creative economy can fully develop and realize the potential of each creative subsector as a global growth engine.
“By transforming creativity and innovation into strong economic resources, this will not only generate prosperity but also empower young people and women, and contribute to making cities across countries more livable through the integration of culture and local wisdom,” said Deputy Cecep.

Responding to this, Special Staff to the Minister for Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zelda Wulan Kartika, emphasized the importance of inclusive international cooperation. Indonesia, she stated, is ready to facilitate and support innovative and collaborative efforts to ensure that creativity is not the privilege of a few, but a force for many.
“The creative economy can only reach its full potential if everyone is able to participate, contribute, and create impact. Indonesia is committed to enhancing concrete cooperation with various partners at the bilateral, regional, and international levels. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has established a new unit to strengthen economic diplomacy, namely the Directorate General of Economic Relations and Development Cooperation,” said Zelda.
