Jakarta, July 2, 2026 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, officially opened Jakarta X Beauty 2026 at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), Jakarta, on Thursday (July 2), as part of efforts to strengthen Indonesia’s beauty industry ecosystem and help local brands expand into global markets.

The exhibition, taking place from July 2–5, 2026, is expected to attract more than 120,000 visitors. A total of 400 brands are participating this year, with 70 percent of them being local Indonesian brands.
“Jakarta X Beauty has been held consistently since 2011, and this year marks its 17th edition. There are 400 participating brands, 70 percent of which are local brands, including 23 new brands that have never joined this event before. This reflects the organizer’s commitment to continuously elevate Indonesian local brands,” said Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya.
The Minister noted that Jakarta X Beauty demonstrates how the beauty industry has become one of the fastest-growing creative economy subsectors, driven by creativity, innovation, research, design, and brand development. Through this event, local brands gain not only a platform to showcase their products but also opportunities to build business networks and expand into international markets.

“Our hope is that local heroes can go national, and local champions can go global. The target of around 120,000 visitors over four days also shows that Indonesia’s beauty industry continues to grow. Today, we can confidently say that Jakarta X Beauty is no longer just the largest beauty event in Indonesia, but the largest beauty event in the world,” he added.
Putri Tanjung, CEO of Trans Digital Lifestyle Group & Female Daily Network, said Jakarta X Beauty 2026 introduces various innovations through the participation of new brands, special treatments, and a wide range of interactive activities throughout the four-day event.
“Jakarta X Beauty has now become the biggest beauty event in the world. We hope Jakarta X Beauty 2026 will provide a memorable experience for visitors while encouraging more people to support Indonesian local beauty brands,” said Putri.

Throughout the event, Jakarta X Beauty features beauty product exhibitions, product launches, beauty talks, workshops, educational sessions, and various interactive experiences that bring together industry players, creators, and the public in a collaborative space to strengthen Indonesia’s beauty industry.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Deputy Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Helvi Yuni Moraza and President Director of the Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management Center (PPK GBK) Rakhmadi Afif Kusumo.
