Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya attended the Commemoration Ceremony of Pancasila Day led by President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto at the Pancasila Building, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jakarta, on Monday (1/6/2026).
In his address, the President emphasized that Pancasila is a national consensus born from Indonesia’s history and culture to unite the nation’s diversity.
“With the theme ‘Pancasila: Uniting the Nation, the Foundation of World Peace,’ this year’s commemoration carries profound meaning. Amid a world increasingly divided by conflict, geopolitical rivalry, trade wars, and economic uncertainty, Indonesia possesses a strong guiding principle, and that principle is Pancasila,” said President Prabowo.
The President also underscored the Government’s commitment to transforming the national economy based on Pancasila values by ensuring that natural resources are managed fairly and directed toward public welfare.
According to the President, the Pancasila Economy is not merely about statistics, but about humanity, self-reliance, and social justice for all Indonesians.
“We must have the courage to stand on our own feet, manage our natural wealth for the prosperity of the people, and ensure that economic growth goes hand in hand with equitable development so that Indonesia becomes a sovereign, advanced, and dignified nation,” added President Prabowo.

“Pancasila is not merely the foundation of the state; it is a moral compass and a guiding framework for national development, including the development of the creative economy sector,” said the Minister.
Teuku Riefky added that the creative economy has now become a strategic pillar in job creation, as well as in increasing non-oil-and-gas exports and investment. Therefore, the commemoration of Pancasila Day is considered a relevant momentum to strengthen the role of the creative economy as a sector that grows from the richness of Indonesia’s culture and traditions.
