“Do not be misled by the title—this is not a horror film, but a psychological drama that can ‘possess’ the audience and offer many lessons. We hope the film will be well received and enjoyed by the public. It also serves as ‘oxygen’ for Indonesian cinema by introducing a new color beyond the patterns that have long been dominated by horror and comedy,” said Anggun.
The Ministry of Creative Economy continues to promote the strengthening of the film subsector through cross-sector collaboration, improved production quality, and expanded distribution access. These efforts open broader opportunities for Indonesian films to reach wider audiences while reinforcing their position in the global creative industry.
The presence of representatives from various ministries, institutions, industry players, and media in this event reflects a hexahelix collaboration in advancing the film subsector as an integral part of the creative economy. This synergy serves as a foundation to accelerate the development of a more adaptive, inclusive, and competitive film industry.
