Jakarta, June 12, 2025 — President Prabowo Subianto officially closed the 2025 International Conference on Infrastructure (ICI), highlighting it as a key momentum to accelerate development across various sectors in Indonesia. President Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia’s abundant resources must be managed with transparency to achieve self-sufficiency.

"The matter of a nation's development lies in how it utilizes and manages its resources and wealth. It is our collective responsibility as executives to protect and manage these assets," stated President Prabowo in his keynote speech at the closing of ICI 2025 held at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday, June 12, 2025.
The President emphasized the urgency of managing food, water, and energy resources to improve public welfare. He also said the importance of private sector involvement in infrastructure development, encouraging a collaborative model that is integrated and connected.
“Once we identify the problems, we must act swiftly to find solutions, especially in achieving food, energy, and water self-sufficiency,” President Prabowo added.
Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), who hosted the event, delivered a follow-up report on ICI 2025. He announced that approximately 40 projects are currently open for investment, covering areas such as transportation, energy, water, waste management, housing, and smart cities.
“We express our highest appreciation and respect for the vision and direction of the President, which have become the guiding compass for national infrastructure planning and execution. The ICI Forum proves that under the President’s leadership, Indonesia is not only a major force in Southeast Asia but also a respected global actor in sustainable development. As a nation, we’re not just building more—but building smarter, more sovereign, more impactful, and more future-oriented,” said Minister AHY.
He added that ICI 2025 is not just about encouraging investment but also fostering long-term partnerships in the spirit of global collaboration. He also outlined five strategic priorities of the Prabowo administration for resilient infrastructure: infrastructure for food and water security, clean energy, equitable and seamless connectivity, livable and resilient cities, and reformed infrastructure financing for sustainability.

Insights from the Asta Cita (eight principles that encourage the achievement of Indonesia’s aspirations) also reflect President Prabowo’s strong commitment to the creative economy as a pillar of Indonesia’s long-term development. Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, who was also present at the event, affirmed that this is further proof that the creative economy is a national growth engine and a vital source of job creation.
“We believe that investing in creative economy infrastructure is not just about building facilities. It’s about shaping the future—one where Indonesia excels through creativity, empowers its youth, and moves with confidence toward the Indonesia Emas 2045 (Golden Generation of Indonesia in 2045),” said Minister Teuku Riefky.
The Ministry of Creative Economy continues to encourage the spirit of collaboration in supporting the development of sustainable creative economy infrastructure. Minister Teuku Riefky also emphasized the importance of synergy in this effort.
“Creative economy infrastructure plays a key role in driving sustainable growth across creative subsectors. It not only supports transformation processes but also creates an ecosystem that nurtures innovation and collaboration,” Minister Teuku Riefky explained.
The ICI 2025 closing ceremony was also attended by ministers and deputy ministers from the Kabinet Merah Putih, along with Chairman of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin, Deputy Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI) Hidayat Nur Wahid, Chairman of the National Economic Council Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, and representatives of diplomatic missions from partner countries.
