“The creative economy has proven itself as a tangible contributor to the national economy. Its growth exceeds the national average and demonstrates that Indonesia’s greatest potential in fact grows from the regions,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya.
In addition, the Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency has also placed serious attention on post-disaster recovery in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. Economic and humanitarian recovery efforts continue to be intensified to ensure that creative economy practitioners are able to rise again.
The prepared programs include Batik Creation Training, Creative Residencies, Cooking Training with Master Chefs, Ready-to-Wear Sewing Workshops, Craft Acceleration (Kriyasi) for Embroidery and Weaving, and Packaging Design Workshops for creative economy practitioners. In addition, painting activities for children were organized as part of art-based psychosocial recovery.
“Creative economy recovery must be carried out holistically, not only by rebuilding production, but also by restoring hope and competitiveness among practitioners,” concluded Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya.
