Ministry of Creative Economy Appreciates Indonesian Creative Installation “Resonora” at iLight Singapore
Representing Indonesia, Dearista and OSTUDIO explored the translation of urban soundscapes into dynamic light patterns. Through the integration of sound data, lighting, and spatial design, Resonora offers visitors an immersive experience of urban space through a fusion of visual and auditory perception.
"Resonora stems from the question of how our perception of urban space is constructed, not only through what we see, but also through what we hear. Soundscape is a layer of experience that often escapes our awareness, yet plays a significant role in shaping how a place is felt. This work examines how each individual can hold a different perception of the city, even when hearing the same sounds. For that reason, Resonora opens up a space for audiences to experience the urban environment in their own distinct way," said Dearista.
The installation takes the form of a lightweight structure composed of fabric materials and light projections that respond to the surrounding environment. Resonora does not offer a single narrative; instead, it opens a broad space for interpretation, inviting each visitor to engage with the work through the lens of their own personal experience.

It also reinforces Indonesia's standing in international conversations around art, design, and creative technology.
The Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency commends the achievement of Indonesian creative talents who have successfully brought innovative work to the international stage. Participation in global festivals such as iLight Singapore aligns with the government's efforts to expand market access, elevate the visibility of national talent, and strengthen the contribution of the creative economy as Indonesia's new engine of economic growth.
"The presence of Resonora proves that Indonesian creative talent is capable of competing and earning recognition on the global stage. Innovations that bring together creativity and technology, such as this, represent the kind of added value that reinforces the creative economy's position as the new engine of growth for the national economy," said Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya.
iLight Singapore 2026 runs from 5 to 28 June 2026 across the Marina Bay and Raffles Place precincts in Singapore, under the theme Movement. The festival features 14 installations by 17 international artists exploring the relationship between movement, light, colour, and sound in public space.
