“We must continue to promote innovation and creativity among MSMEs, including engaging the younger generation, so that local products are not only recognized domestically but can also reach global markets,” said the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy.
Her visit is part of the Ministry of Creative Economy’s program to support MSME empowerment, cultural preservation, and strengthening the creative economy ecosystem. During the visit, the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy reviewed various outstanding products that highlight Indonesia’s cultural richness, including fashion made from traditional fabrics, rattan woven bags, handicrafts, local culinary products, herbal drinks, and traditional accessories.

She emphasized that Pendopo serves as a concrete example of how MSMEs can not only survive but thrive in modern markets without losing their cultural identity.

“With professional curation and innovative creative activities, local products have the potential to become the new engine of growth for Indonesia’s creative economy. The hexahelix approach—involving government, academia, industry, creators/communities, media, and society/MSMEs—enables MSMEs to grow from traditional businesses into competitive creative economy players while preserving Indonesia’s cultural heritage,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy.

Through diverse creative activities and product curation that strengthens cultural identity, Pendopo has become an inspiring space for MSMEs to experiment, innovate, and reach modern consumers, while demonstrating how cross-ecosystem collaboration can strengthen Indonesia’s creative economy. Going forward, Pendopo will also participate in the “Oktober Kreasi” series of events commemorating National Creative Economy Day, as a concrete support for the national movement to strengthen the creative economy.
