Jakarta, 30 November 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) have officially collaborated through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to accelerate the growth of the national creative economy in 2026. This strategic collaboration focuses on creating quality jobs, strengthening investment, and promoting a sustainable creative industry in line with the directives of President Prabowo Subianto.
Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Teuku Riefky Harsya, menandatangani nota kesepahaman (MoU) Kementerian Ekonomi Kreatif/Badan Ekonomi Kreatif (Ekraf) dengan Kamar Dagang dan Industri Indonesia (KADIN) pada acara road to Rapat Pimpinan Nasional (Rapimnas) 2025 di Residence Room, The Park Hyatt Hotel, Jakarta, Minggu (30/11/2025).
Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya expressed his optimism that the creative economy will continue to grow, noting that investment realization in the first semester of 2025 has already reached 66 percent.
“This understanding encompasses the development of creative industry opportunities and the strengthening of business networks, as well as the advancement of downstream value creation and concrete collaborations that deliver direct benefits to economic growth,” said the Minister of Creative Economy at the MoU signing held during the road to the 2025 National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) at the Residence Room, The Park Hyatt Hotel, Jakarta, Sunday, 30 November 2025.
This MoU is a follow-up to the strengthening of a strategic partnership previously established through an audience session on 15 May 2025 and a comprehensive discussion on 21 October 2025. The Ministry of Creative Economy and KADIN share a common understanding to create quality jobs through the creative industry.
The Minister of Creative Economy introduced the direction of Creative Ecosystem 5.0 as an approach that places alignment on three key elements: people as the foundation of Indonesia’s creative talent; Intellectual Property (IP) as the economic resource of the future; and impact as added economic, social, and technological value. Through this approach, the creative economy has become a real economic contributor and a new engine of national economic growth.

“We can observe BPS data showing that investment in the creative sector during the first semester has reached 66 percent of the 2025 target. This indicates growing international interest in investing in the creative sector. Furthermore, the workforce target of 25.5 million has been surpassed, with November BPS data reporting 27.4 million creative workers—107 percent of the 2025 target,” stated the Minister of Creative Economy.
The Road to KADIN Indonesia’s Rapimnas adopts the theme “Creativity 5.0: The Future of Indonesia’s Creative Industry in the AI Era.” This aligns with KADIN’s role as the government’s strategic partner in building a healthy, inclusive, and competitive creative industry ecosystem.
“With self-reliance and improving community welfare as priorities, KADIN recognizes the remarkable potential of the creative industry—through Intellectual Property (IP), media, digital sectors, and more. The creative industry moves rapidly, requires adaptability, yet holds tremendous value that enables entrepreneurs to create jobs. The creative industry is already right before our eyes, with humans and their assets—what remains is to capitalize on and advance it. Let us collectively support the creative industry through synergy between the government and entrepreneurs so that it continues to grow,” said KADIN Chairperson Anindya Novyan Bakrie.
The scope of the MoU between the Ministry of Creative Economy and KADIN Indonesia includes data exchange and utilization, development of creative economy marketing, enhancement of human resource capacity, and collaboration in developing access to funding and financing for creative economy subsectors.
