Deputi Bidang Kreativitas Media Kementerian Ekonomi Kreatif, Agustini Rahayu, memberi keterangan kepada rekan-rekan media usai menutup acara Bootcamp Akselerasi Kreatif (AKTIF) subsektor film dan animasi di Hotel Morrissey, Jakarta, Minggu (23/11/2025).
“The winners of this Bootcamp gain the opportunity to compete in the ATF forum as part of the creative acceleration program we are promoting,” said Deputy for Media Creativity Agustini Rahayu on Sunday, 23 November 2025.
ATF 2025 is a leading global forum for the television and entertainment industry dedicated to the Asia-Pacific region, bringing together industry professionals to network, conduct business, and discuss future trends in the Asian market. ATF 2025 will take place from 2–5 December 2025 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore.
The AKTIF Bootcamp, initiated by the Ministry of Creative Economy, was previously attended by 70 participants and designed to enhance talent capacity through strengthening distribution, promotion, and business model development of intellectual property, as part of a strategy to accelerate the commercialization pathway of creative works. Deputy Agustini Rahayu emphasized that the rapid growth of this industry and the diverse backgrounds of the creators in this bootcamp further open opportunities to position the creative economy as a growth engine starting from regional areas.

“We hope that the creative economy can provide added value to the creative industry. We want this industry to become a driver of the national economy, or the new engine of growth. This is not merely a dream; the potential of the creative economy is backed by data. This requires collaboration between the ministry, associations, and creators themselves to realize this new engine of growth,” she explained.
In the film sector, the selected works include Komik Jagoan, directed and produced by Dwitya Yoga Dharmawangsa; Pelabuhan Berkabut (Fish, Please), directed by Haris Yulianto with producers Annisa Dewi and Ivan Valentinus; and Bong (Of Womb and Tomb), directed by Destian Rendra and produced by Nasir Rustiawan.
Representing Komik Jagoan, Rigita Andianti stated that the bootcamp provided comprehensive insights into the film business.

“I learned that a film is not just an IP, but can evolve into other sustainable products and help form an integrated industry ecosystem from exhibition, distribution, to publication,” she explained.
Film producer Ivan Valentinus of Pelabuhan Berkabut (Fish, Please) noted that the training changed his perspective as a producer.
“Until now, I focused only on making films, but here I learned how to sell them and reach new audiences. It’s not about old or new films, but about reaching the audience effectively,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bong (Of Womb and Tomb) producer Nashiru Setiawan hopes his work can penetrate international markets.

“We want this film to circulate in overseas markets, including Singapore, and attract investors interested in developing business from our work,” he said.
Through the AKTIF Bootcamp, the Ministry of Creative Economy strengthens the film and animation subsector ecosystem by preparing talent that is not only creative but also understands distribution strategies and business sustainability, enabling them to compete in regional and global markets.
According to data from Bicara Box Office, the number of Indonesian film viewers reached approximately 65 million by mid-November 2025. In addition, data from the Indonesian Cinema Owners Association (GPBSI) shows that 178 national films were released in cinemas in 2025.

“Because this is connected to ATF, commercialization is extremely important. The readiness of the pitch bible is also crucial, as you will meet potential partners, business collaborators, and investors. You must be prepared,” he explained.
Galeo Of SeaWalkers creator Andara Fembriarto expressed enthusiasm about their selection for ATF 2025. He said the bootcamp provided comprehensive training beyond the creative aspect.
“This is no longer just about creating; we are taught the business side, legal matters, and practical pitching that can be applied immediately. The material is very grounded and helpful,” he said.
Similarly, Kwartet: Watu Jiwo Series creator Dieky Suprayogi gained a new perspective on the animation business.
“We know how to create beautiful works, but we don’t know how to sell them properly. Through this program, we were directly introduced to buyers and distributors. That experience is invaluable,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kamarong creator Ida Bagus Aditya stated that AKTIF provided new insights regarding legal and budget management aspects.
“Through this bootcamp, I learned a lot about legal and budgeting matters that I previously lacked understanding of. The knowledge I gained is very impactful, and I want to share it with the animation community in Bali,” he explained.
Also present at the event were Director of Film, Animation, and Video Doni Setiawan and Expert Staff to the Minister for Media Rocklin Aprilius Anderson.
