Magelang, February 27, 2025 – Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, delivered a keynote speech at the Regional Leaders’ Retreat held at the Military Academy (Akmil) in Magelang, Central Java, on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

During the event, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky encouraged regional leaders to establish Creative Economy Offices in their respective regions to strengthen the local creative economy ecosystem and enhance community welfare.
"Regional leaders play a central role in establishing Creative Economy Offices to support regional economic growth and create high-quality job opportunities," he stated.

In his presentation, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky emphasized that the creative economy is a key pillar of national economic growth that begins at the regional level. He also highlighted the Prabowo-Gibran administration’s vision, "Together for an Advanced Indonesia Towards Golden Indonesia 2045," which prioritizes the creative economy as one of its Asta Cita goals.
"The creative economy is the key to driving the national economy from the regional level. As we move towards Golden Indonesia 2045, the creative economy remains a priority in fostering national self-sufficiency," said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.

Furthermore, he emphasized that the sector holds great potential for increasing regional revenue and generating high-quality employment opportunities. The government has set targets to boost the creative economy’s contribution to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and regional income.
"The Ministry of Creative Economy focuses on 17 priority subsectors, including culinary, crafts, fashion, and fine arts. We must harness these opportunities to increase regional revenue and create quality jobs," he asserted.
Minister of Creative Economy Riefky also stressed the importance of cross-sector synergy in promoting creative economy growth. He introduced the Hexahelix concept, which involves collaboration between the government, financial institutions, media, academia, associations, and the business sector as a primary strategy for building a globally competitive creative economy industry.

"Collaboration with various stakeholders—including government, financial institutions, media, academia, associations, and businesses—is crucial for developing a globally competitive creative economy," he added.
The Magelang Retreat spans a full week, from February 21 to 28, 2025. The event aims to strengthen regional leaders' understanding of their duties, functions, and authorities while aligning regional policies with national development objectives.
In addition to discussions on the creative economy, the Magelang Retreat also provides in-depth insights into Asta Cita, a set of five fundamental principles for building a strong and prosperous nation.

At the event, Minister of Creative Economy Riefky was accompanied by Deputy for Creative Economy Strategic Development, Cecep Rukendi, and Secretary of the Ministry/Chief Secretary, Dessy Ruhati. Also in attendance were Indonesia’s sixth president, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and several ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet.
