Jakarta, 24 September 2025 — Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar received an audience with MahakaX and Arka Entertainment. The meeting discussed the sustainability of utilizing drone shows as a creative medium, while also evaluating the success of the spectacular performance during the 17 August 2025 celebration at the HI Roundabout.

The drone show created by Indonesian talent captured public attention during the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at the HI Roundabout on 17 August 2025. The performance, involving 1,400 drones, successfully mesmerized hundreds of thousands of spectators and went viral on social media.
“The drone show is a tangible manifestation of how technology, creativity, and nationalism can unite in the skies of Jakarta. Going forward, we aim to make it part of the official event calendar of the Ministry of Creative Economy, spanning music, film, culture, and culinary sectors. This is a real example that the work of Indonesian talent can stand on par with world-class performances,” said Deputy Minister Irene at Autograph Tower, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 24 September 2025.

During the audience, MahakaX and Arka Entertainment presented their achievements and evaluation of the 17 August drone show implementation, while also proposing strategic collaboration steps with the Ministry of Creative Economy. Co-founder of Arka Entertainment, Ronny W. Sugiadha, expressed his appreciation for the Ministry’s support.
“We are proud to present a work that is 100 percent Indonesian, from pilots to designers. The success on 17 August serves as a foundation for long-term consistency. We hope that drone shows can be expanded to other major cities and become an identity of Indonesia’s creative performances in the eyes of the world,” said Ronny.
The Ministry of Creative Economy views drone shows as having strong acceleration potential as a medium for the actualization of Indonesian creative talent, including through:
– Integration into Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) as a complement to cultural and traditional attractions.
– Expansion to major cities in Java and beyond to ensure equitable access to creative performances.
– Creation of new employment opportunities for creative and technical talent across regions.
– Building the positioning of drone shows as a distinctive Indonesian creative performance on the global stage.

“Indonesia has the talent, the technology, and the spirit. Drone shows have the potential to become the new engine of growth for our creative economy subsectors.
