Jakarta, March 23, 2025 – The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency has further strengthened its collaborative efforts with other ministries and agencies through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration took place between the Ministry of Creative Economy, the Ministry of Trade, and the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) at Hotel Borobudur.

This MoU is particularly special as it was held during the Grand Event of the Ramadan Festival at Hotel Borobudur, coinciding with the 51st anniversary celebration of Hotel Borobudur Jakarta. Minister of Creative Economy Riefky emphasized that this MoU represents the Ministry of Creative Economy commitment to applying the hexahlex collaboration model.
"We are realizing the strengthening of the creative economy ecosystem through the hexahelix collaboration, which involves the government, business, academia, financial institutions, media, and communities. With the spirit of hexahelix collaboration, we hope that the flagship program of the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency, called ASTA EKRAF, can be implemented optimally and bring maximum benefits to creative economy practitioners," said Ministerof Creative Economy Riefky in his speech after the MoU signing on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

Minister of Trade Budi Santoso and Head of BSSN Nugroho Sulistyo Budi were present to sign the MoUs with Minister of Creative Economy Riefky. This inter-ministerial collaboration is expected, according to the Minister of Creative Economy Riefky, to strengthen each stage of the creative economy value chain, from creation, production, distribution, consumption, to conservation.
The MoU signed between the Ministry of Creative Economy and Kemendag relates to market access for local creative economy products, supporting the PASAR EKRAF program. Meanwhile, the MoU with BSSN pertains to the protection of information and electronic transactions to support the DATA EKRAF program.
"We support this concrete step to expand the impact of the creative economy while also committing, together with the Ministry of Trade, to increase broader market access for local products to international markets. Additionally, with BSSN, we continue to raise awareness among creative economy practitioners about the importance of cybersecurity. I also extend my congratulations on the 51st anniversary of Hotel Borobudur Jakarta for providing excellent facilities for this event," said Minister of Creative Economy Riefky.

Minister of Creative Economy Riefky emphasized that the collaboration with various parties could create 100,000 business spaces for creative economy practitioners and generate up to 600,000 quality jobs. This event is also expected to become a collaborative effort to build a sustainable creative economy ecosystem.
"Thank you very much for the collaboration. Developing the creative economy in Indonesia is indeed not easy. With collaboration, the Ministry of Trade already has a program for MSMEs to export, which includes monthly training and assessments and business matching with 33 international trade representatives. Moving forward, we can also brand Indonesian products to gain greater recognition. I am confident that under the leadership of Mr. Teuku Riefky, this collaboration for the creative economy can be realized," said Minister of Trade Budi.

"Collaboration is the solution to face challenges and prove the competence of the creative economy ahead of the Eid holiday. We must implement a good strategic plan among industry, the private sector, and communities to create a secure electronic trade system," added BSSN Head Nugroho Sulistyo Budi.
Meanwhile, Santoso Gunara, President Director of Jakarta International Hotel & Development, hopes that the collaboration among ministries and agencies in the Ramadan Festival Discover Timeless Harmony will unite the creative economy ecosystem and provide a peaceful and enjoyable Ramadan experience.
