Jakarta, 13 February, 2026 — Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency Teuku Riefky Harsya explored collaboration opportunities with the Indonesian Association of British Alumni (IABA). Strengthening the creative economy ecosystem through a hexahelix approach between the government and academic associations is expected to expand networks and develop creative economy markets.
Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya received the IABA delegation at the Office of the Ministry of Creative Economy, Jakarta, Friday (February 13, 2026).
“We are seeking intellectual property (IP) from the regions to be promoted nationally, thus encouraging local heroes to go national or national champions to go global. The Ministry has program clusters, one of which is Sinergi Ekraf. We have around 60 strategic partners who have signed cooperation agreements, the benefits of which will be channeled to associations, communities, and local governments, so that what we sign can be utilized by strategic partners such as IABA,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky during the IABA audience at the Ministry of Creative Economy office, Jakarta, Friday, February 13, 2026.
Minister Teuku Riefky also appreciated IABA’s initiative in engaging with the government to build inclusive collaborations. The Ministry of Creative Economy has a mission to enhance the quality of national human resources and creative talent.
Meanwhile, IABA is an official organization that accommodates alumni of education in the United Kingdom in Indonesia. Serving as a bridge for academic and cultural cooperation between Indonesia and the UK, IABA acts as a catalyst for innovation, the strengthening of professional networks, and international collaboration across various sectors, including the creative economy.

The Ministry of Creative Economy hopes that collaboration with IABA can strengthen talent development, expand market access, and foster the emergence of creative economy players with global competitiveness.
