Jakarta, 8 April 2026 – The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, attended the halal bihalal event of the Indonesian Society of Appraisers (MAPPI) at Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta. His presence reflects efforts to strengthen institutional relations while encouraging hexahelix collaboration between the government and professional associations in developing the creative economy.
The Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, delivered remarks at the halal bihalal event of the Indonesian Society of Appraisers (MAPPI) at Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (8/4/2026).
On that occasion, the Minister emphasized the strategic role of professional associations in supporting the creative economy ecosystem, particularly through strengthening intellectual property-based financing. He noted that the inauguration of 64 intellectual property (IP) valuators in February 2026 marked an important step in expanding access to financing for creative players.
“Previously, works or creations often stopped at the level of output. However, with the presence of IP valuators, intellectual property can now become an asset. This will greatly help, particularly in opening access to funding,” said the Minister on Wednesday, 8 April 2026.
He further added that strengthening the creative economy ecosystem does not rely on a single aspect but requires a comprehensive foundation, ranging from regulation and awareness-building to improving the quality of industry players. These measures are essential to ensure sustainable growth of the sector.

“This is part of our effort to build a solid foundation for a rapidly growing industry, from regulation and increased awareness to quality improvement. In simple terms, the Ministry’s role is to encourage the emergence of local heroes or local brands to scale up to the national level. Subsequently, we curate them to become national champions capable of competing globally,” he explained.
Through cross-sector collaboration, the Ministry of Creative Economy continues to encourage the creative economy’s potential to contribute more significantly to the national economy, including in investment, trade, and job creation. The event also served as a momentum to strengthen synergy between the government and stakeholders in fostering a conducive ecosystem for the growth of innovation- and intellectual property-based creative industries.
