Menteri Ekraf Teuku Riefky Harsya memberi sambutan pada perayaan Sour Sally Sweet 17th - In One Scoop: Past, Present, Future, Jakarta, Jumat (01/08/2025).
“Sour Sally is an example of the struggle of local Intellectual Property (IP) from the culinary sub-sector that we should be proud of. This is in line with the Ministry of Creative Economy's mission to continuously support the emergence of Indonesian brands on the global stage," said Minister Teuku Riefky while attending Sour Sally's Sweet 17th - In One Scoop: Past, Present, Future celebration at Central Park Mall, Jakarta, on Friday, August 1, 2025.
“Sour Sally will play a role as one of the pioneers of the creative industry in Indonesia, becoming a new engine of national economic growth,” added Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky.
Today's event is a follow-up to the collaboration to continue encouraging local brands like Sour Sally, which has been around since 2008. Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky hopes that Sour Sally can be an example for other local brands to continue opening up economic opportunities.
“We are also proud to see Sour Sally enter the global market through halal certification. We hope Sour Sally will continue to maintain its competitiveness, the quality of its human resources, and good business governance—so it may continue to be an inspiration for other creative economy players,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky.

Responding to this, Sour Sally Founder Donny Pramono explained that Sour Sally is always ready to take new steps by bringing Indonesia’s name to the global stage. He also mentioned that the number of outlets across Indonesia has reached 135, with a total of 900 employees nationwide. Sour Sally’s business expansion has also reached three countries: the United Arab Emirates (15 outlets), Saudi Arabia (15 outlets), and the Philippines (48 outlets).
“We always have stories about the courage to continue growing despite the highly competitive culinary industry, but the Sour Sally market continues to grow. For 17 years, Sour Sally has been striving to expand overseas, bringing pride to Indonesia with a commitment to always exploring new things. We have discovered Sour Sally's strength, which is maintaining consistency in innovation and quality to this day. Thank you to the Ministry of Creative Economy, the business community, the media, partners, and loyal customers of Sour Sally who have been part of this 17-year journey toward a healthier, broader, and more global future," said Donny Pramono.
