Jakarta, April 9, 2025 – Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, welcomed Agatha Anne Bunanta, Chairwoman of the Indonesian Photographic Arts Federation (FPSI), at the Pesona Indonesia Film Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

Menekraf menerima katalog Pameran "The Beauty of Indonesia" dari Ketua Federasi Perkumpulan Senifoto Indonesia (FPSI), Agatha Anne Bunanta (kiri), yang telah dilaksanakan pada 15-30 Maret 2025 di Galeri FIAP Exhibition Center, Ankara, Turki.

On this occasion, Minister Riefky received the exhibition catalogue of “The Beauty of Indonesia,” which was held from March 15–30, 2025, at the FIAP Exhibition Center Gallery, Ankara, Türkiye. The exhibition was a collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy, FPSI, the Photographic Arts Federation of Türkiye (TFSF), and the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta.

In his remarks, Minister Riefky emphasized that photography is one of the 17 subsectors of the creative economy, playing a crucial role as “The New Engine of Growth.” According to him, many creative subsectors rely on photography to shape market trends that increasingly move toward digital platforms.

"Photography is not just a tool for documentation but also a form of art with significant economic value. In Indonesia, there are over 20,000 photographers, according to data from FPSI. This number reflects the tremendous potential and contribution of the photography sector to the economy, both nationally and globally," said Minister Riefky.

The exhibition is expected to motivate and inspire Indonesian photographers to produce works that meet international standards of quality and actively participate in global platforms.

Moreover, participating in international exhibitions can open market opportunities for Indonesian photography, whether for commercial or artistic purposes, thereby contributing to the development of the creative economy sector.

The Ministry of Creative Economy and FPSI are ready to explore further collaboration, with the closest being the 2025 Indonesian Photo Salon (SFI), which is planned to be held in Medan this September.

Minister Riefky expressed his commitment to supporting the event by contributing a foreword to the photo catalogue, attending the opening ceremony, and presenting awards to the winners of the Photo Salon as a form of support for the development of Indonesian photography.

The exhibition was part of the 75th anniversary celebration of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Türkiye, featuring 58 works by FPSI club members and 10 works by students and lecturers of ISI Yogyakarta, showcasing Indonesia’s cultural richness, traditions, and landscapes.

Under the leadership of Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya, the Ministry of Creative Economy aims to create 27 million quality jobs within the next five years, with a focus on opportunities for young people.

Assisted by Deputy Minister Irene Umar, Minister Riefky continues to encourage the development of the 17 creative economy subsectors to realize the vision and mission of President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran, particularly Asta Cita point number 3: creating quality jobs, fostering entrepreneurship, and growing the creative industry.
