Jakarta, 10 March, 2026 – Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency Irene Umar discussed collaboration opportunities during a meeting with Big Ground Entertainment and KANVERSE Korea at Epicentrum XXI, Jakarta. The discussion focused on the development of the music industry, creative content production, and the creation of international stages for Indonesian talents.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, received an audience with Big Ground Entertainment and KANVERSE Korea to discuss collaboration opportunities in the development of the creative industry at Epicentrum XXI, Jakarta, Tuesday (10/03/2026).
“Indonesia has enormous creative talent and a strong market. Through partnerships with international industry players such as Big Ground Entertainment and KANVERSE, we can open more opportunities for Indonesian musicians to perform on the global stage while also strengthening the national music industry ecosystem,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene during the meeting held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
The meeting followed a previous audience between the Ministry of Creative Economy and Big Ground Entertainment that discussed potential synergies in the Indonesia–Korea music industry, including music talent development, joint production of creative works, and expanding access to international stages through strengthening the music intellectual property (IP) ecosystem. Deputy Minister Irene emphasized that cross-country collaboration is a strategic step to expand access to the global market while strengthening the capacity of national creative industry players.
She added that the development of music IP, the production of collaborative works, and the organization of cross-country performances could serve as catalysts for the growth of the music subsector as part of the creative economy, which the government continues to promote as the new engine of growth.

During the meeting, both parties also discussed various collaboration opportunities, including joint music production between creators from Indonesia and South Korea, the organization of performances in various cities across Asia, and the development of entertainment content that can be produced and marketed globally.
CEO of Big Ground Entertainment Kevin Hermanto stated that Indonesia has significant potential in the development of the Asian entertainment industry, particularly in terms of creative talent and a broad audience base.
“We want to bring together artists and creators from Indonesia and Korea to create collaborative works. Through music production, performances, and the development of entertainment content, we hope this collaboration can open new opportunities for Indonesian talents to reach global audiences,” said Kevin Hermanto.

Meanwhile, CEO of KANVERSE Korea, Seo Min-Kyu, stated that cross-country partnerships are key to expanding the reach of the music industry amid the dynamics of the global entertainment sector.
“We see great potential in cooperation between Indonesia and Korea, whether in the development of music works, the exchange of creators, or the expansion of content distribution to international markets,” said Seo Min-Kyu.
Through this discussion, the Ministry of Creative Economy hopes that synergy between industry players from both countries can strengthen the national music ecosystem while opening more opportunities for Indonesian creators to connect with the global entertainment industry network.
