Tangerang, 29 March, 2026 – The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, attended the launch of the Dewa United Motorsports Team for the 2026 season at the Entertainment District PIK 2, Tangerang, Banten. The Minister of Creative Economy assessed that the current development of the motorsport industry reflects a shift in how the creative economy operates, no longer sectoral in nature, but interconnected and mutually reinforcing.
The Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, attended the launch of the Dewa United Motorsports Team for the 2026 season at the Entertainment District PIK 2, Tangerang, Banten, on Sunday (March 29, 2026).
“Motorsport today is not merely about racing. Behind a single car on the track, there is an extensive economic chain, ranging from visual design, merchandise production, brand activation, to digital content consumed by the public,” said the Minister of Creative Economy on Sunday, March 29, 2026.
The Minister of Creative Economy also took part in a countdown alongside stakeholders to mark the launch of the team for the 2026 season. The Minister emphasized that sportainment has become one of the new faces of the creative economy, now serving as the new engine of growth. The activities within it are capable of generating tangible multiplier effects, from job creation to economic circulation across various subsectors.
“When sports, entertainment, and creativity converge, the impact does not stop at the arena. It extends to industries, communities, and opens up new and sustainable economic opportunities,” the Minister of Creative Economy continued.

The launch atmosphere reflected sportainment as a meeting space for industry players, communities, and creators. The Minister of Creative Economy reviewed activities such as the gokart arena and a virtual Formula 4 game simulation, demonstrating direct engagement with the development of the industry.
Dewa United Motorsports has expanded its participation into six divisions, ranging from slalom, engine and electric gokart, drift, touring, sprint, to rally. This move underscores that Indonesia’s motorsport industry is becoming increasingly structured and competitive, while also opening opportunities for creative players in automotive modification, livery design, event production, and digital content.
In line with this, the government is encouraging automotive modification as a new subsector within the National Creative Economy Master Plan, aimed at strengthening the foundation of the industry going forward.

The CEO of Dewa United Motorsports, Muliana Saleh, emphasized that the development of the team this season is not only focused on achievements, but also contributes to building Indonesia’s motorsport ecosystem.
“We want Dewa United Motorsports to be part of the growth of this industry, not only as a racing team, but as an ecosystem that drives the emergence of new talents and opportunities,” said Muliana Saleh.
Through this synergy, Dewa United Motorsports is not only building a creative ecosystem in Indonesia and targeting Indonesia’s presence on the international racing stage, but also emphasizing competitive performance across various categories while prioritizing the development of young drivers as a long-term commitment.

The Secretary General of the Central KONI, Lukman Djajadikusuma, views this step as part of strengthening national sports development that is increasingly integrated with the industry.
“Motorsport has great potential in Indonesia, not only in terms of achievements, but also as part of an industrial ecosystem that requires cross-sector support or hexahelix collaboration,” said Lukman.
The Ministry of Creative Economy continues to encourage the strengthening of the sportainment ecosystem through cross-sector collaboration, in order to create added value while fostering new talents and sustainable creative business opportunities for Indonesia.

During the event, the Minister of Creative Economy was accompanied by the Director of Architecture and Design, Sabar Norma Megawati.
