Jakarta, 12 November 2025 — The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), through the Directorate of Music under the Deputy for Media Creativity, has facilitated the production of a music video for Graduation Song by Murphy Radio, a band from Samarinda that recently completed their international tour in China and Japan in October 2025. This production activity is part of the AKTIF Music program, which Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya describes as a concrete government effort to ensure inclusive and productive creative economy growth.
Kementerian Ekonomi Kreatif/Badan Ekonomi Kreatif (Ekraf), melalui program AKTIF Musik memfasilitasi produksi video klip Graduation Song karya Murphy Radio, Jakarta, Rabu (12/11/2025).
“Murphy Radio demonstrates that talent from Benua Etam can reach international audiences. Through AKTIF Music, we aim to ensure that creative potential from all regions of Indonesia continues to grow, compete globally, and generate quality jobs. The creative economy is a new national strength born from innovation and cross-sector collaboration,” said Minister Teuku Riefky on Wednesday, 12 November 2025.
The production, held on 8–11 November 2025 in Samarinda, aims to strengthen the national music ecosystem through talent development, capacity building, as well as expanding access to distribution and commercialization—essential pillars for a competitive and sustainable creative economy.
Deputy for Media Creativity Agustini Rahayu added that AKTIF Music serves as a platform for musicians to accelerate their careers through training, mentoring, and industry networking.

“The main focus of AKTIF Music is to open wider access to distribution and commercialization so that the economic value of music continues to grow. The program connects players within the hexahelix ecosystem—government, academia, business actors, communities, media, and legal-regulatory sectors—to ensure sustainable growth of the music subsector,” Agustini explained.
Graduation Song, originally released in 2018, has been reimagined into a 5-minute-and-36-second music video. Built around the central phrase “How can we get through it all?”, the piece reflects on journeys, challenges, and hopes as one enters a new phase of life. The production process took place at SMAN 2 Samarinda and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Mulawarman University, involving cross-sector collaboration across East Kalimantan.

Through this initiative, the government reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the music ecosystem as part of the national creative economy strategy—positioning Indonesia as a global center of creativity and driving the music subsector as a new engine of economic growth starting from the regions.
