Jakarta, 24 December 2025 — In welcoming the Golden Generation 2045, Minister of Creative Economy / Head of the Creative Economy Agency Teuku Riefky Harsya shared three core leadership values—empathy, consistency, and resilience—with seven students of SMA Taruna Nusantara. The meeting formed part of efforts to cultivate future leaders while encouraging young people to amplify positive narratives of the creative industry as a manifestation of the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.
Menteri Ekonomi Kreatif, Teuku Riefky Harsya, menerima audiensi dari siswa dan siswi SMA Taruna Nusantara Malang yang berlangsung di kantor Kementerian Ekonomi Kreatif, Jakarta, Rabu (24/12/2025).
“The cadets and cadettes of Taruna Nusantara can actually help amplify positive narratives that the creative industry will become one of the alternative employment sectors in the future. Indonesia has strong cultural roots that grow from the regions. When these cultural roots are infused with innovation and creativity, that is where the creative economy emerges,” said the Minister of Creative Economy during the meeting held at the Ministry of Creative Economy Office, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 24 December 2025.
The Minister also shared insights on the structure and programs of the Ministry of Creative Economy, which focuses on the development of 17 subsectors, particularly seven priority subsectors: culinary, crafts, fashion, games, music, applications, and film–animation–video. According to the Minister, there are three key values that must be upheld by the younger generation so that they are able to lead Indonesia’s creative industry in the future.

“First, empathy. This means that as leaders, you must be able to feel and understand what society needs. Second, consistency. Leaders must maintain integrity and apply discipline while being open in observing the development of the creative industry. Third, resilience. This symbolizes a spirit of perseverance, shaping the mental strength required of a leader,” the Minister explained.
The hexahelix collaboration approach implemented by the Ministry of Creative Economy—engaging government, business, academia, associations or communities, media, and financial institutions—was also highlighted by the Minister’s Expert Staff for Strategic and Inter-Institutional Issues, Gemintang Kejora Mallarangeng. According to him, the creative economy workforce, dominated by those under 40 years old from the millennial and Generation Z cohorts, tends to prefer working based on passion or shared hobbies that can generate income.

“The creative industry has strong potential to absorb labor. When you begin entering the professional environment, you must be able to identify any problems within an organization and seek creative solutions. Considering that Taruna Nusantara students come from all over Indonesia, start building collaborative networks of creative ideas,” Gemintang added.
Meanwhile, every year, Taruna Nusantara students are assigned to meet national figures to conduct interviews in order to gain insights, inspiration, and motivation for their subsequent academic journey. Several questions were raised by the students present, including inquiries about the Ministry of Creative Economy’s efforts to address challenges related to financing, skills development activities, and market access for creative businesses in Indonesia.

“The Minister of Creative Economy was very friendly and open toward young people who come to learn. Calmly, he shared stories and answered our interviews about the creative economy sector. We realized how immense Indonesia’s potential truly is and what values we must possess to continue the regeneration of the creative economy in the future, surpassing existing standards or targets toward more advanced and rapid growth,” said Atiqah Ramadina Wardani, a Taruna Nusantara student, enthusiastically.
Accompanying the Minister of Creative Economy were the Head of the Creative Economy Human Resources Development Center, Siamwahyuni, and the Head of the Bureau of Law, Human Resources, and Organization, Moch. Nurul Huda. The other six Taruna Nusantara students present were Fahrezi Audriantama Raditya, Danish Fikri Ferdinand, Aqila Febria Putri Hermawan, Callista Dhiandra Ghassani, Benediktus Jonathan Putra Patria, and Athar Umar Rasyid.
