“The Web3 industry is expanding rapidly in Indonesia. This growth can be seen in its transformative impact on various business sectors, such as finance, tourism, the creative industry, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Indonesia is one of the fastest-growing digital economies in the world, giving it significant potential to leverage Web3 technology,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene during the Web3 Industry Outlook: Global and Indonesian Market Perspective 2025 panel discussion, organized by Xellar in collaboration with the Web3 industry community in Mega Kuningan, Jakarta, on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
Web3, the third generation of web technology evolution based on blockchain with a decentralized system, presents new opportunities, according to Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene. The panel discussion was attended by several Web3 entrepreneurs interested in entering the cryptocurrency business.

Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene hopes that discussions like these can provide education for newcomers to the Web3 space, ensuring they do not enter the blockchain and NFT business recklessly. Education is essential to help new talents build long-term businesses.
“We need to focus on education—not just teaching people how to create a crypto wallet, but guiding them on how to build a sustainable business and tackle the challenges within it. This industry is growing at an incredible pace,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene, who was accompanied by the Director of New Digital Technology at the Ministry of Creative Economy, Dandhy Yudha Feryawan.

The Web3 Industry Outlook: Global and Indonesian Market Perspective 2025 panel discussion, spearheaded by the crypto wallet company Xellar, aimed to serve as a platform for Web3 industry players and emerging talents looking to enter the Web3 business, including blockchain, crypto, and NFTs.
Daniel Suwahjo, CEO of Xellar, noted that many people are still hesitant to share information about this industry, even though he believes there are enormous opportunities in Indonesia to advance the Web3 technology sector.
“The attendees of this panel discussion are not just from the crypto community but also from corporations and individuals who may not be well-versed in the Web3 industry but are interested in joining. We want to allow them to meet experts in this field so they can build and create something together,” Daniel explained.
