“We want to ensure no talent is left behind, including our friends with disabilities. Through this work, we want to prove that inclusivity in the creative economy is not just a slogan, but a concrete action,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya on Friday, July 11, 2025.
Wong Sepele's music video was produced together with the Mabes Balker community, with Ndarboy Genk serving as part of the creative team, and featuring Fauzi Haidi as the lead vocalist. As well as being a medium of expression, this work is also designed for digital monetization, expanding economic opportunities for creative industry talents involved. The single is scheduled for release on July 14, 2025, across various digital platforms as part of a strategy to expand the role of the music subsector in building an inclusive, locally driven creative economy.

The Ministry of Creative Economy facilitated this collaboration through its flagship program, Creative Acceleration (AKTIF) for Music. As a program targeting priority regions for national creative economy development, AKTIF for Music is designed to encourage the creation of original works from local creative communities.
Yogyakarta was chosen as the location for this project because of its organically grown, collaborative arts ecosystem. Through this initiative, the Ministry of Creative Economy reinforces its commitment to providing equal access for persons with disabilities within the national creative ecosystem.
Deputy for Media Creativity of the Ministry of Creative Economy, Agustini Rahayu, stated that AKTIF for Music serves as both a creative mentorship and a production facilitation program for regional music projects. “This program accelerates the economic impact of local works. We are not just staying behind the scenes, but also actively driving their distribution and exposure so that local music ecosystems can grow sustainably,” said Ayu, as she is commonly known.

Meanwhile, Director for Music, Mohammad Amin, emphasized that the choice of location and talents for this project reflects the spirit of diversity in the creative economy.
“Fauzi Haidi is living proof that challenges do not define quality. Wong Sepele was chosen for its powerful storytelling and its relevance to our social realities,” Amin added.

Through the launch of the Wong Sepele single and music video, the Ministry of Creative Economy seeks to encourage more inclusive local intellectual properties (IP) to enter the digital market, paving the way for a fairer, more open, and sustainable creative economy. This initiative aligns with the vision of making the creative economy the new engine of growth for Indonesia, beginning at the regional level and opening space for cross-community collaboration and diverse talents.
