Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Welcomes Boleh Dicoba Digital, Emphasizes AI's Role in Data Processing

Jakarta, January 8, 2025 – The Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Irene Umar, received a courtesy visit from the Boleh Dicoba Digital (BDD) team. This meeting was a testament to the Ministry of Creative Economy's commitment as the guardian of data.

The meeting took place on January 8, 2025, at the Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta, and was also attended by the Director of Digital Content at the Ministry of Creative Economy, Yuana Rochma Astuti, and Deputy for Cultural Creativity and Design, Yuke Sri Rahayu.

At the beginning of the discussion, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene emphasized the importance of real-time data. She highlighted that the creative economy sector has significantly contributed to two key areas: national GDP growth and job creation. She also stressed the importance of leveraging digital intelligence, commonly known as Artificial Intelligence (AI).

"Utilizing AI in big data processing can accelerate the success of the Emak-Emak Matic program," said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene.

Yuana, as the Director of Digital Content, added that programs such as Emak-Emak Matic (Tech-Savvy Moms), as mentioned by Deputy Minister Irene, can be further synergized. This initiative is part of the Ministry’s commitment to women’s empowerment.

"This program facilitates collaboration between participants, local communities, and businesses in various cities. The women’s empowerment program within the creative economy sector has already been introduced in two cities—Bandung and Yogyakarta," Yuana explained.

From the BDD team, Yuricho Billy, Head of Community Development, expressed the hope that more value could be added to the creative economy communities and businesses that have been mapped. He also emphasized that this could be achieved by enhancing knowledge development, particularly in advertising and content creation.

"Indonesia is not just about strength; we also have creativity and the ability to add value. This is how we can craft the narrative of Created by Indonesia for every local product, making us proud," said Yuricho.
